Refund & Return Policy

Our Standard

Everything we ship is grown or assembled here, inspected, and packed personally. We want you to be genuinely happy with what arrives. Because we sell living and perishable goods, our return terms are tailored to each kind of item — please read the section that matches your order.

Live Plants

Live plants are perishable and can be stressed by shipping. Inspect your plants as soon as they arrive. If a plant arrives dead or severely damaged in transit, contact us within 48 hours of delivery at hello@shopadamseden.com with photos, and we'll make it right — a refund or a replacement when one is available.

Normal transit stress — wilting, some leaf drop, or dormancy — is recoverable with light, water, and a few days of care, and is not considered damage. Because a plant's health depends on care after it leaves us, we cannot accept change-of-mind ("buyer's remorse") returns on live plants.

Seeds

Seeds are sold viable at the time they ship and are packaged by variety and lot. Because germination depends entirely on your growing conditions, we cannot guarantee germination and do not issue refunds based on germination results or crop outcomes. If a seed packet arrives wrong, short-counted, or damaged, contact us within 7 days of delivery and we'll correct it. As a sealed living product, seeds are not eligible for change-of-mind returns once shipped.

Fresh Produce

Produce is harvested to order and is highly perishable, so produce sales are final. If produce arrives spoiled or damaged because of a shipping delay or mishandling, photograph it and contact us within 24 hours of delivery and we'll refund the affected items.

Growing Supplies

Non-perishable growing supplies may be returned unopened and unused within 14 days of delivery. Return shipping is the buyer's responsibility unless the return is due to our error. Opened or used supplies cannot be returned.

Shipping Damage

We pack every order carefully. If your order is damaged in transit, keep all original packaging and contact us within the window for that item type (above) with photos. We'll work with the carrier to resolve it.

Shipping Methods & Untracked Orders

Where available you may choose between Standard (no tracking) and Tracked shipping. Standard shipping travels as a plain stamped envelope with no tracking and no proof of delivery, and is offered only on lower-value, non-perishable orders such as seed packets. Live plants and produce always ship Tracked because of their perishable nature.

If you select Standard shipping, you accept that the order travels at your own risk: a Standard order that is lost, delayed, or marked undelivered cannot be refunded or replaced by us, because there is no tracking to verify its status. For full loss protection, choose Tracked shipping. Tracked orders showing as delivered by the carrier are considered delivered.

Order Cancellation & Crop Failure

If you need to cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible. We can cancel and fully refund any order that has not yet shipped. If a crop fails or an item is not fit to ship, we will cancel and fully refund that item ourselves. Once an order is in transit it falls under the return terms above.

Returns & Who Pays Shipping

When a refund or replacement is due to our error — the wrong item, a short count, or shipping damage — we cover the cost; for perishable and living goods we generally resolve claims by photo rather than asking you to ship anything back. For non-perishable supplies returned due to our error, we provide a prepaid label.

Please contact us before sending anything back so we can approve the return and track it. Items sent back without prior contact may be delayed.

Refund Process

Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method within 5–10 business days depending on your card issuer. We do not charge restocking fees.
